A: Tell me about your childhood. Do you recall anything from that time?
R: From time to time, I do recall my childhood memories but mostly my feelings. I was pretty shy at those times but was still hopeful and happy.
A: What made you want to become a MakeUp 💄 Artist?
R: Makeup has always been one of the jobs, I most desired. I was also keen on fashion and collected shoots, I liked from magazines. Designer, image- maker, makeup, hair-styling have always created interest for me and thanks to my job, I have been in all of those areas.
A: What was your first major magazine credit and how did you get the job?
R: While I was working for MAC Cosmetics, I had worked as a make-up artist in a Fashion Week including world-wide brands like Missoni, Ferragamo, Roberto Cavalli.
Later on, I started working with one of the most famous singers in Turkey, Ebru Gündeş whom was also known with her fulsome makeup. As a result of our collaboration with her, we have modified every detail in her style. I have started with transferring her make-up into a natural with an elegant style. In addition, a big change in her hair and costume style has captured the headlines in Turkey. I have got this job by a special offer by the artist herself.
A:What do you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your career so far?
R: I have become the Beauty Ambassador of P&G Group as well as the brand figure and MakeUp artist of Max Factor. I have also showed up in TV commercials for the brand.
A: You have done the makeup of so many celebrities including Serenay Sarikaya, Fahriye Evcen, Neslihan Atagul & Hande Ercel. Which of these successful ladies was the most enjoyable to work with?
R: The beautiful ladies mentioned here are all very famous and significant names in our country (Turkey). We have worked on important commercial projects with every one of them. It has always been a great pleasure and honor to work with all these pretty ladies, so it is hard to choose only one.
A: Would you prefer to accept an offer for moving in LA and do the makeup for A-List stars ⭐️ of Hollywood or would prefer to do the makeup of a Turkish Actress who would move in LA in order to pursue a career?
R: My plans for next year is to visit Los Angeles and work on some projects. So, my preference would be both working for the world-wide and Turkish celebrities. I can assure you that I do work hard to achieve these projects.
A: What does “normal” workday as a celebrity MakeUp Artist look like?
R: In fact on these days, I never have a ‘normal’ day. I am always very busy working. I wake up very early in the morning, do some sports/exercise and then have a busy day full of meetings, events, shootings and projects. In Turkey, except for makeup jobs, I also perform many projects like productions, workshops, events and parties for private brands. Thus, I do really live a intense working day.
A: If you could do the make up for four people alive or dead, who would they be?
R: Marilyn Monroe, Rihanna, Bella Hadid, Selena Gomez.
A: Best make up secret?
R: My Contour style! Using only a natural bronzer, I can completely guide / alter facial looks in one’s face.
A: What common mistakes do women make when they are trying to improve their look, only to ruin it instead?
R: The most common mistake women make is buying and using almost every single makeup product they see! They never consider what their real needs are. In addition to that, they create an image for themselves without getting to know themselves first! To do all this in a correct way, they need to read and search more for everything and also to improve their perspective in all aspects. They should know by now that they cannot get more beautiful by following up Kim Kardashian and the family members!
A: Would you like to participate as a MakeUp artist 👩🎨 in Athens Fashion Week? Do you know any Greek celebs?
R: I often come to Athens and love this place, so I feel really pleasure to come over. I know mostly the famous young Greek ladies but could not recognize their names at the moment.
A: What’s your summer spot? Any vacation plans?
R: For this month, I’ll be in Milan and will fly over to Dubai afterwards. At the end of the month I will be in Bolu, Turkey and after that will fly to NYC. I do travel a lot, as you can see.
