Interview – Dalida Khalil: “Dancing” with the Lebanese star


Eleanor Roosevelt once said that “the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams” and indeed if we take step by step the life of Lebanese Artist -initially Actress, Dalida Khalil, the quote of the First Lady of the United States was right.
The beautiful Lebanese Artist -initially Actress, has a lot of achievements; in 2003 was crowned as “Miss North” in her hometown Zgharta (Lebanon) and had participated in more than 19 television series. Furthermore, she joined the 3rd season of “Dancing with the Stars and became a brand ambassador for “Fashion TV Eyewear“. Despite her success, Khalil , is down to earth with a “golden” heart.


In an exclusive interview to Anna Krith’s Lifestyle, the talented Lebanese Artist, opens up about the beginning of her career, the “criticism” through the social media platforms and explains why marriage is not a “primordial” in her life anymore. Finally, she reflects on her visit to Ayia Napa in Cyprus and expresses her admiration for a Greek actor who played in the fantasy-drama television series “Game of Thrones”.

D: Dalida Khalil – Artist, initially Actress 

A: What attracted you to begin a career as an actress?

D:Well, I believe that it is the passion I have and feel “behind” the camera, in combination with my talent that appeared since I was very young, when I used to participate in my school’s plays and used to play the biggest and main roles.


A: Motivation is important within the acting profession. What would you say is your motivator currently?

D: My main motivator is the love of the people surrounding me, and also the love of my fans, young and old, who come from different nationalities and different backgrounds. Their love keeps me fighting to always give the best I have.


A: What do you think you can bring to the world of Acting and what type of acting role would interest you the most?

D: I would love to add more spontaneity and simplicity to this world; I believe that the more simple and spontaneous we are, then the more spectators believe the personality.
Regarding the type of acting role would interest me the most, it would be to perform/act in biographical films and play one of the historical or political or artistic personality who was well known in all over the world.


A: What is the most annoying habit that other people have?

D: When they criticize or intimidate the artist through the social media platforms. they always want us perfect. However, they ignore the fatigue and conditions we face and go through.


A: When was the last time you changed your opinion / belief about something major?

D: When I was younger, I used to think that marriage is primordial. However, now, I believe that marriage is only a part of many other things that can bring you joy and happiness in life.



A: What amazing thing did you do that no one was around to see?

D: I love and enjoy doing humanitarian actions very discreetly.


A: Do you admire any Greek actors? Would you collaborate with anyone of them for a TV-Show?

D: To be honest, I am not very familiar with Greek drama but I was impressed by Miltos Yerolemou, who played the role of Syrio Forel in “Game of Thrones”.

A: Have you ever visited Cyprus? If yes, what did you like the most?

D: I have been to Ayia Napa in Cyprus. I did like the beach and the people; they are so close to Lebanese people in their temper and hospitality.



A: When was the last time you got to tell someone “I told you so.”? 

D: When my sister successfully passed a hard exam! She did not trust herself but I knew she would make it.

A: What happens in your country regularly that people in most countries would find strange or bizarre? 

D: Lebanon is a beautiful country. Although, the political situation is not very stable but Lebanese people have so much life “running through veins” and love to party almost everyday!


A: Any future plans? 

D: For now, I am giving my best in celebrity duets show on MTV Lebanon. In 2018, two movies that I have already finished will be shown in Lebanese cinemas. Beside that, a project of me singing, dancing and acting is being “cooked” with Casino du Liban.
