Entertainment is anything that gives you enjoyment but when it comes to report lifestyle news then the meaning is completely different; entertainment journalists cover the news and events by digging up the stories of the latest Hollywood developments. Nicholas Liddle: Entertainment Journalist and Blogger – (N)
A: What’s exactly your background story?
N: To be short and sweet about my background story, I am really just someone who found social media as an escape from real life struggles and I used social media to my advantage and it has been apart of me since I was about eleven years old. It has gotten me completely where I am today.
A:What are the major difficulties of becoming an Entertainment Journalist?
N: The major difficulties of becoming an Entertainment Journalist would be the fact that you will have very many sites, magazines, tell you no when you apply to them. Why? Because you have little to no experience. However, everyone has to start somewhere, right?
A: You write for magazines and entertainment sites. What is your favorite stories to cover?
N: Entertainment Journalism is really fun, actually. It covers a wide spectrum of things. My favorite things to cover are music and celebrities. With Entertainment, you can cover it all though, music, celebrities, TV, anything… Its very nice.
A: What is your opinion on Fifth Harmony’s new album – Especially on the “He like that music video”. Recently, Lauren Jauregui retweeted one of your tweets. Do you think that Lauren would go solo in the near future?
N: I really do like Fifth Harmony’s newest album. It is pretty different from what we have heard from them in the past, but its nice for them to branch out into new sounds, and new beats, that maybe they wouldn’t have done before. Ah! Yes. Lauren did indeed retweet my tweet. In all honesty, I didn’t expect her too since none of the girls follow me (yet). So, it was a surprise. I can’t speak for any of the girls, but I do know that if any of the girls go ‘solo” they’ll all still be immensely successful.
A: You stand for human rights & LGBTQ+ equality. Do you think that things are getting better or now that Trump is in charge everything falls apart?
N: I will always stand for LGBTQ+ rights and equality. Yes. However, with Trump being president, there are some things LGBTQ+ wise that do need to change, but we have to atleast give him a chance.
A: Can you tell me some of your strengths that really helped you in blogging?
N: Can I be honest with you? My personal blog doesn’t do the best and there is still times with the entertainment articles, I completely fail. However, practice, practice, practice—it is the only way you’re going to grow and get better. I think one of my strengths was, being able to stay focused and motivated.
A: A lot of people think that blogging is an easy way to make money online. Do you have some tips for those people who are interested in making money from the blog?
N: For people wanting to make money online blogging, set goals and meet those goals. Keep your blog constantly flowing with articles. ADS and viewers are your biggest help. Have ads all over your blog (don’t over do it).
A: What was your greatest failure and what did you learn from that?
N: My biggest failure would probably have been not focusing on my personal blog while writing elsewhere. I’ve learned that I need to focus more on it, and invest more time in it.
A: Describe a big problem in your life and how you coped with it.
N: A big problem in my life—not being true to myself and accepting who I was as a person. I had to come to terms with myself, accept who I was, and not let others stand in the way of my happiness, freedom, and success.
A: Would you visit Greece anytime soon? What do you like about Greece?
N: I would love to travel to Greece, yes. As soon as I’m in the position to travel the world, it would actually be one of the first places I’d like to visit. I like that Greece is such beautiful place and I absolutely love Greek food.
A: Any message you want to send out there?
N: My biggest thing is, don’t give up on your dreams and your aspirations in life. There is always going to those people telling you that you can’t do something, you’re not worth it, etc… but you definitely are, and you can! Don’t let anyone stand in the way of your happiness, freedom, or your success. Stay true to yourself.
